Surrounded by the warmth of the day you will find the hands of love, embracing the brevity of one of the most emotive moments in a life — you’re holding on — holding on to a moment, a friend, a lover for that one extra second beyond comfort where you feel the strength in arms loosen but you refuse to let go. You hold on. A few more seconds. A few more seconds.

Just a few more.

You let loose, you don’t let go.

You look her in the eyes with a deepening intensity through the point of looking at because you’re now looking through, looking inward to something you know you can never forget. There’s an intensity there. It’s an intensity of human connection that happen only so many times in a life. I hope to think that they happen more often than not. I like to think that they’re fewer than frequent. Weddings are one of those fewer instances where connection to your lover is at one of its deepest levels of understanding and commitment, but the connection doesn’t limit itself to just you two; it’s family, friends, this incredibly kick ass and powerful wave of love that sweeps your feet from beneath you so very poignantly. I promise you this power and we are an inch taller on our toes in excitement for you to experience it because weddings are one of those fewer than frequents. Marriage is few and we encourage you to soak up the first day of it with an overzealous zest of saturation.

It’s worth every ounce you put in.

I write this stuff because Jenna & David were some of the most light hearted people on a wedding day that we experienced up to that point. I could feel it. We pick up on a lot of the energy present on a wedding day and the two of them displayed a breezy kind of energy. They literally shrugged their shoulders when asked about whether they had any ideas for our free time together, if there was anything they wanted to do specifically, only to reply with a “No, we trust you”. . .and off we went. I can still remember to this very moment the look in David’s eyes when he told me that. Any perfect suspicion I had of them up to this point was immediately validated by his reply and their continued demeanor, their enthusiasm for everything throughout the day.

They’re good people.

They have good people around them. We saw it throughout their Via Vecchia wedding in the Brewery District and it felt right. David’s dad’s dance moves and the guests communal leg kicks felt right, too.  So take it in; hard laughs, big love, deep intsensity and high leg kicks. J&D.
